It was a fast but great weekend, attending my nephew and niece’s high school graduation. We got some pictures here, and a few more of the boys. Levi is now 3 years old!

Jonathan joined us this morning at 10:52am, weighing 6 pounds 12 ounces, and 19 inches long. The whole delivery went prefectly – it can’t be any smoother than that.
Anyway, here’s the early pictures:

We had been planning on doing a c section on Wednesday, based on the diagnosis of some potential complications – it was about a 50/50 chance, and we decided on that path based on the fact that it was more prepared for an emergency. However, we also prayed and believed that if God thought better of a natural delivery, He could send baby along sooner.
It happened sooner – labor started Sunday night. As a result, we started the process for a natural delivery. Somewhere in the middle of the night, it dawned on me/God convicted me that I wasn’t asking for the right thing – I had been asking for help getting through the complications, but God reminded me that He could make them disappear altogether. All I could think to say was…. “OK”.
And that’s exactly what happened. It was a perfect, normal delivery, and Becky had no complications or unusual bleeding. We just have to praise God for a wonderful experience and reminder that He really is in control.
